Comment from Ryu Saito, President and Representative Director of SIMPLEX QUANTUM, Inc.

Simplex Group (Simplex Holdings and its subsidiaries) has a number of proven track records in building robust cloud-based infrastructure and developing secure and high-performance software for the financial industry. Meanwhile, Simplex Quantum offers various solutions to medical institutions which require as much security and stability as financial institutions. Going forward, we expect to increase synergies by working together with Simplex Group in system integration for introducing AI-based medical devices in medical institutions as well as in designing, developing, and operating total solutions, including infrastructure.

Comment from Hideki Kaneko, Representative Director, President and CEO of Simplex Holdings, Inc.

A project that Simplex Quantum is committed to using its proprietary AI module “heart failure/arrhythmia detection AI” has been highly recognized for its potential as a project that crosses the borders between industry and academia as well as public and private. We expect that the company’s technologies and track records will have a strong synergy in business expansion into non-financial fields on which Simplex Group will focus its efforts. Taking this investment as an opportunity, we also intend to deepen the partnership with Simplex Quantum to explore ways of developing businesses that take advantage of each other’s strengths.
